Instructions and information about the Lockheed Electra Mod-10 from J&M Aviation

    J&M Aviation ©2011
Thank you for your purchase of the Lockheed Electra Model 10 by J&M Aviation designed and built for Second life flyers by a real life flyer Josh Noonan. This is a non-combat fun flying aircraft scripted for the pilot and a co-pilot.

This aircraft has been Re scripted and flies really well! It now has auto attachments on rez and working flaps and landing gear!

In the box you have the Lockheed Electra Model 10 Display aircraft (not for flight), the Lockheed Electra Model 10 with auto attachments (rez on ground) and the Lockheed Electra Model 10 Flight Manual (your reading it).

    Flight:
Rez the Lockheed Electra Model 10, select the wheels and click “Fly” from the PIE menu. (Please make sure that all your ANIMATION OVER RIDES are OFF), Choose yes when the menu ask for permission to attach to your Avatar. Now you are seated in the pilot’s seat and ready for flight. If you have a co-pilot, have them right click the wheels and choose sit from their pie menu.
Type "st" in chat to start both engines or st1 or st2 for starting engines separately and then use the "page up and Page Down" keys for the power lever. Taxi at 11% to 22%. When at the end of the runway advance the power to at least 55% and bring the nose up with the "down arrow". You may use any ware from 55% to 100% for takeoff. For a short field takeoff, use the flaps down and take off at 44%. (You have the option of using "mouse Look" if you wish).
At 3 meters you will have bank control using the "left and right" arrow keys. Raise the landing gear with the "g" key and cruise at 66% to 77% and climb at 88% to 100%.
When ready, reduce the power to 55% and the Electra Model 10 will gradually drop its nose and descend, at 44% it descends faster and with flaps down is will descend slower at any power setting. (A cruise descent is possible at any power setting with the nose down).
When you are above and outside the end of the runway reduce the power to 33%, lower the gear and the Electra Model 10 will descend to a landing using intermittent down arrow to flare. As soon as you touch down, reduce the power to 22% until off the runway. Taxi at 11% to 22%. Type “st” in chat to shut down both engines.

"Dynamic Camera Use" Type "c" in the Chat window to turn the Dynamic Camera “on and off” This camera is useful when flying outside the cockpit (non-mouse look flying) for aerobatics.
